Under the front seats that is in a 7gen civic. Good or bad? Any pics or just any info would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

i have alpine installed under my passenger seat. well i didnt install it myself, but make sure if u do that the car is competely off..better yet..take out the battery because you're gonna have to take out the seat. taking out the seat may set off the srs light and its impossible tot ake it off without that ecu programmer dealers use. there may be other ways to turn it off though

the amp can get hot under the seat, depends on the height of the amp. make sure there is adequate ventilation.

i have two amps each under the seats. check for room and make sure there aren't wires or fuel lines running under the floorboard. don't forget self-tapping screws.

KaZeLL will become famous soon enough
i wouldnt do, i have done in the past to customers cars but i try to avoid if possible, people or passengers tend to kick or put there feet on them when sittting in the back, i dont like people stepping on my ****...theres no gas lines to worry about there, if you remove the seat ya the srs light will come on...there is a DIY for reseting this some where here on the forum..try the DIY section....for wireing up a fan well thats easy enough...just use the ground and the Acc wire leds from the amp...but make sure your not useing a cheap pc fan...the sell a tubular fan for this type of appliction....it puts out way more air then your regular fan

yeah this is not recomended, the amp gets too hot at times. If you could come up with some way to get a fan (better air flow) down there then maybe. But like kaZell said people kick it and could kick the wires off the terminals.

Hey man don't hate on the looks. I'm doing this more for security and until I can do something myself in the trunk. Plus I just think it looks hot under the seat. Also more trunk space. And also I'll use a relay for the fans to cool the amp.

If you really want it there, I'd say to false floor the rear floorboard. Someone here has done it, and it looks alright, plus it will give you protection from people stepping on it and such. I'd think that you could use the floormat as a template for your cutout, but don't quote me on it.

i just had to move my sub amp from under the driver seat due to overheating.I think most amps will be too big for are seats.i put mine in the trunk now and no problems.i agree, not under the front seats.

i think it all depends on how you play your system...if you're going around and playing your system like you're in a DB contest then put it in the trunk...if not i believe putting it underneath the seats are fine...i had a 4ch and sub amp in my old 96 hatch and mine never overheated...even thumping all the way from b-more to virginia beach. but hey i had my windows down the whole time give my whole car circulation.
