I got a Alpine 9815 CD/Mp3/WMA player not too long ago, and the darn thing is so fancy that it does not even have bass and treb controlls! it as a friggin built in EQ and I have no idea how to use it. It also has time correction so the sound from all the speakers gets to your ears at the same time, so you can make it (as the driver) sound like your right inthe middle.
But I have no idea how to use it or set it!!!
does anyone know how? I went to the alpine site thinking I could just download the settings for my car, but it wants you to program them in yourself, then you can DL them...

Help!

Yep... YOu gotta measure each speaker to the distance of your ear... Input it in the i-personalize section by inches or feet?? and it computes it for you and wha-la, dl it and onto your HU....
Ask AlpineCivic (think thats his user name) from SO-CAL... He knows his shiet...

The manual is a wealth of information as well. If you misplaced it you can probably get a pdf of it at alpines site if you look around. I know they have a lot of manuals there.
I'm not familiar with your model but on mine there is an eq button. I press it and use the rotary diel (volume control) or the left and right buttons (don't remember exactly whch to change from one preset eq setting to another. Try one of the presets if you don't want to go to the hastle of the user defined eq settings.
Also, I'm not sure if your unit has an MX button but pressing that can help with the sound a bit.
If you use i-personalize and get the numbers to plug in for time alignment this is how I get there (it may be different on your model so again if you don't have the manual go to alpines site and find it). I press the time correction button twice. the first press gets you to the bass focus screen if I remember correctly and the second button gets you to the fine tuning screen for time correction. Use the rotary dial to change the value to what you want and use band button to get to the next speaker.
I hope this was helpful I'm sorry if I got confusing but with out looking up your model and looking in its specific manual I have to go what what I can remember.

To should have more of a crossover than an eq. You can set your filters for frequencies on the high pass and low pass. The set up (If I remember my 7995) was you push the button once for bass and treble and hold it down until it beeps for the Filters (Active Crossovers) I have an IVA-D900 not so some of my setup on my old deck may have been different.

getting to the menus is not really the problem, its knowing how to use an eq, like the different numbers and stuff - and yes, I believe this stero has a crossover or two in it, I dont know.... damn thing is crazy fancy
