Rear speaker fitment issue???

So I have been reading around a lot of old topics about most aftermarket 6x9's not fitting in the rear deck because they bang on the trunk springs...As I seem to understand it, this is the only issue with the 6x9's not fitting. Is this correct?

Because if this is the only issue then wouldn't you only need to take out the springs and install some trunk shocks as in Grey's DIY (http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...threadid=56901)? I mean I see everyone bitching about the problem and most of them are spend $1000+ on a system so why not just spend another $50 and remove the problem???

I'm not looking for a back and forth about 6x9's and what not, I'm just trying to figure out if the only problem is the springs and if so then tada here is a solution. I know it has been mentioned before, but nobody seems to take it seriously. Why is that? It seems like a perfectly logical solution to me.

Or you could just get Alpine's Type-S 6x9's for $79.99 at Circuit City which clear the trunk springs easily...

I wasn't trying to figure out which 6x9's fit, I was just making an observation about something that a lot of people have bitched about on this site. I mean most of us already have opinions on speakers...I mean my self I think I am going to go with a set of JL Audios, but that is beside the point.

I did mine a little different. I mounted my shocks from the trunk floor up to the trunk lid. It works awesome. I did it this way because I'm getting actuators to raise and lowere my trunk on command. Check my gallery out and you'll see how I did it.
