amp problems
i have a sony xplod amp and yes i know its horrible so don't tell me it is. anyways, a few days ago a little red light that said over current kept coming on. then it went away for a little bit but only one sub was playing. then the over current light went back on again today. and now the over current light doesn't come on at all, but neither of the subs play.
i've got a bad feeling this amp is cooked but i hope i'm wrong.
all the wiring is good too

sony's are known for that. u used to be a certifies installer ive seen it sooooooo many times. your going to loose your amp soon i would call sony and see what they say. try turning down the gain to about 3/4 (if you have it turned up n e higher). and make sure it is in a good place (not getting too hott).
i had an xplod (it was OK i guess....MTX rocks though lol) that was given to me by a friend......he gave it to me for FREE cuz it didnt work in his car (95 civic ex)...when he turned up his volume and was about to BUMP it, it would O/C and then the red light turned on and then he would have to turn off the stereo and turn it bakk on to get it on again .....funy thing is was when i put it in my old car (1990 acura integra LS) it worked just fine! the only thing i can say is check your ground....make sure its real stable and check where your preouts are going on to your amp...... i remember messing with these and i put em in wrong and i encountered somewhat of the same prob u have ...... THE END lol
