Found and Used setup? any good

Found and Used setup? any good I have a 250/1 jl amp and need some subs. My cousins best friend (only a was up friend to me) dad FOUND 
two 10w0's in power wedge box at a school. He doesn't want it and wants to sell. Nobody knows how they were used or how old they are because they were found . What price should i offer him for the subs? we haven't tested them, but they dont look bad, not new, but not old either. Im thinking 100 dollars. wat do you guys think? is that too much for some subs with no knowledge of their history.

tke the sub out of the box, look for damage, smell for burnt smells, hook em up to the amp, and push the cone in and out and see if you hear any scratchy noises
