alternate remote wire methods
I am adding a sub/amp setup in my dad's Honda Odyssey, and he wants to use the factory head unit. My question is what would be the best method for the remote wire connection?
He is using speaker level inputs into the amp (a Fosgate 501s). I was thinking of running the remote wire to somewhere in the fuse box, or even maybe running a wire from the remote input to one of the positive speaker level inputs going into the amp. <- would this work??
Anyway, I'm sure some of you have some experience with this. I want to stay away from using a switch... I know he'd much rather have it come on automatically.
Thanks
- Chris

cigarette lighter. itll only be on with the car, and is the standard way to fire on the amps with a factory radio.
if the cig lighter is always on, find ignition, thats only on with the car on.
