well yeah sorry guys for all the stupid questions i have asked in the past, and yeah im sorry to annoy you guys, but now, i seem to have learned a LOT more. but im here to ask another question, i was wondering.. i have 2 infinity kappa perfect 12.1d peak(1400watt) and rms(350)... and i need a new unit and box, so what do you guys suggest??
You need a new unit? That sounds like a personal problem man....
j/k
Do you mean you want a new headunit? As far as a box, look up your recomended airspace and buy one that corresponds to that.

yeah i need a new headunit.. i was planning to buy this one.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...090676696&rd=1 can u tell me if its any good??.. and for the box.. i bought one sealed.. and it recommends sealed.. but i just thought the subs sound better vented because more air comes out??.. well yeah.. i was planning to buy some JBL amps.. but i dont know which one too..
That model is pretty cool but has a few drawbacks. The display is nice, but bright as hell-especially at night. Also, I really didn't like how the EQ is setup. That is a pretty good deck for the price, but personally I prefer poineer (better bang for the buck). Like this:
Pioneer DEH-P7600MP
Pioneer DEH-P7600MP
That Panasonic is pretty nice, but I agree with Tre, the EQ isn't too hot...I don't know if you are strictly looking for a certain color scheme, or brand name, but I would check this place out, they are in FL and good prices on the stuff they have....and the cool thing is, the manufacture's warrenty is still in effect...

Hope that might help a bit...

yeah i like that headunit too but then the power output is kind of low.. 50x4.. i was hoping to get like a little bit higher maybe?? like 52x4.. or is it enought to power my subwoofers with a nice crisp sound ??( planning on getting some kinda MTX amp ) so how do you guys think it'll sound??..oh..and i wanted a motorized faceplate..haha..im just kinda picky..but how come that panasonic's EQ is bad??..

Check out these head units....they are both clarion....a very good company...the dxz945mp....or the dxz845mp....they are awesome units...the 945 has a cool little touch screen and it does have the motorized face. The EQ's with clarion, especially with the new 2004 series is awesome. you can change i think it's 5 different frequencies plus the subs...
the best place to get these once again would have to be...

The thing that is bad about the panasonic's EQ is that you can pretty much only adjust the balance, fader, bass, and treble...and that's it...you don't have that much to play with and to fine tune your music...
these are just my thoughts though...

that power output you speak of... means nothing.
headunits will put out closer to 22-25 watts per 4 channels. those are peak ratings.
I wuold also get the Pioneer over the Panasonic but the panasonic is still a pretty good unit. ALso look into Alpine units.

With headunit wattage:
100x4 = 25w per channel, check the manual to see if that's peak or continuous (continuous = RMS)
As far as subs are concerned, you're going to be running your sub off a seperate amp. The headunit dosen't have the power to push a sub hard enough to hear much at all.
As far as brand is concerned, I'd go with either Clarion or Alpine. Those two pretty much rule the market IMO with Alpine coming out on top. There is a reason Alpine is the OEM headunit in Bentley vehicles...

Oh. but man.. haha.. i like those HU's you guys have suggested.. but i was lookin for the background display kinda thing .. i don't like just looking at my song title and how many minutes/seconds its been playing. Oh and are our cars rear speakers 6"5?
on the clarion HU's, you can customize the display that you want, it can be cd title, song title, artist, your own message, and it will store them so that when you put that cd in, it will bring that name up again...most HU's nowadays do this...and our rear speakers are 6" x 9"...if you're going to switch them yourself, i would advise you to watch out for the magnet cause you might need to get a riser so that the magnet doesn't hit the trunk tension bars...

Really?? cause i was just reading some other forums and they were talking about how some of the speakers in the coupe are different from the ones in the sedan.. well i have a 2003 silver EX coupe.. m/t.. so my speakers are kinda different from the 2003 sedan??..
sidenote: Anyone know where to buy carpeting for the boxes??

yeah, i just replaced the stock rear speakers, i also have an 03 coupe...they are def 6x9, but like i said before, just watch out for the magnet, and if you install them yourself.....you pretty much have to take the entire back seat apart....it's a pain in the @$$ and def isn't a 10 minute switch
as for where to buy speaker carpeting...i don't know prices much and where to get it cheap...but the place that i have gotten the most of it is...
www.ozite.com
...it's pretty good stuff...but they pretty much only have one color...or at least i haven't looked into buying other colors...the boxes i have built for my friends all are fine with this color and paying that for the carpet....the carpet is usually the most expensive part when building a box...

so wait.. will my 2 12's fit in the car and still have a lot of room space??... because like.. i do some stuff for my parents, i have to help them deliver like groceries... and stuff... our trunks are kind of big.. so i was wondering if the 2 12's will fit, and still have a lot of room...or better yet.. anybody has a picture of there 2 12's in a 03 coupe???
yeah....you'll still have plenty of room in therei don't have a pic, but i know for a fact that you will have good room....and then if you look at the trunk shocks DIY you'll get more room cause you'll get rid of those tension springs/bar things....
....you could even get a cool little custom box you'll get a hella lot of room....
....with two 12's in my trunk...i still have plenty of room to fit two golf bags...and a 12 pak cooler....

i have two alpine type r 1241-d and an alpine mrd-m1000 amp....for my box....i had it custom made to fit pretty much behind my rear speaker line...and the amp....i took out the spare and put that underneath....i bought some of those leak proof tires so i don't really need the spare at all...what do plan on running....maybe we can come up with a cool set up so that you still have plenty of room as well....
