Stressed panel? (pics)

I just did my 6x9 install today, and once I had put my 2 side panels back in place, I noticed that they both seemed to have white stress marks in the same spot. I am not sure what caused this phenomena to happen, but am hoping somebody else might know.

Pic is below, the stressed area that I am talking about is just to the right of the screw cover. It is not that noticable in this picture, and perhaps just as un-noticable in real life, but I am a picky bastard all the same.

The plastic isn't very durable to begin with. I've scratched mine with a fingernail before.

^^^ nod, i picked up a tip once on interior pannels that get scratchs/small cuts in them. use a heat gun to VERY carefuly almost melt the deffect away. ive had reasonably good luck with this if your VERY careful

That could be risky.

I noticed that they are quite fragile. On my deck/climate trim panel, I made a small ding on the left side and could not for the life of me remember how it got there, so it must have been just a real tiny thing.

Also noticed a small scratch on one of my side panels when I put it back in, no idea how that one could have got there either.

It's all really minor stuff, but when it's a brand new car it really stands out... at least to me.

^^^ nod, by no means should anyone try using the heat gun trick if they have any doubts as to if they can do it or replace the pannel if it get too hot
