the reason i ask cause this stuff is really cheap on ebay hate to say it but it is the headunit is like 270 then shipping so like 295 which is cheaper then 400 that cructchfield is asking and they dont even have them yet, same with the speakers so cheap prices

i wont be getting subs just looking for clarity and i want an mp3 headunit and i get rather go all with one company
I got the new catalog for Alpine a month ago. I would probably go with the 9835 or 9833... As far as components go, its a matter of preference. When I had the Civic, I had Type-R comps in the front powered by the MRV-T320 and Type-S speakers powered by my old 7892 HU... Had a JL 12WO sub powered by MRP-T220... It wasn't the loudest system (not even close), but the sound was awesome and not too show off-ish....
Just make sure you power the comps and rear speakers correctly. You could also go with an older HU... I dont remember the number for it, but the new 9835 is the one that replaced it...

do you mean the 9815? yea i liked this headunit cause its simple and still allows to personalize it but all other ones above it you have to hardwire them to the battery or something, so i dint really want to try that for install so i liked this , thanks on the speakers, also i hate to ask this but when you buy them do they come in pairs or single?

and so ya know warranty will be next to impossible if there is any sort of issue with any alpine items bought online if its not purchased thru crutchfield as they are the ONLY authorized online dealer

I quoted this right from Alpines web site...

Hope that helps
Step 2: In-Warranty Service
• Refer to Limited Warranty statement that came with your product for complete details.
• The limited warranty covers the original purchaser, and product must be purchased from an authorized Alpine dealer. Please be aware that the only on-line Alpine dealer is Crutchfield .
• Include your proof of purchase indicating that the product was purchased during the warranty period. Please keep your original receipt and send only a copy to us.

circuit city wouldnt be as cheap so i think ill be the headunit from crutchfield and install it myself or try to then the speakers ill get from tweeter and have them install those for me
Just remember that if you find a HU for a cheaper price Circuit City will offer it for the same price.... I understand warranty is important... But I'd only get it if I know I'll stick with the same HU 3- 5 years from now. I've contemplated many times whether to get a new HU from Ike Sound which is cheap but no warranty vs. CC or some other shop that carries warranty... Your call on this one though.

ok well here is another question why wont the Alpine SPS-690A 6"x9" 3-way Car Speakers and Alpine SPS-170A 6-1/2"/6-3/4" 2-way Car Speakers, why are they not recommended for my vechile?
The 6x9's WILL fit PERFECTLY... You've got about 5 cm worth of space before it hits the trunk lid thingy (those metal bars)...
The fronts should fit... I had components, but had to make spacers in order for them to fit.... I still have my spacers somewhere...

i don't see any 9835's on ebay...i want taht HU so badly!!! its got almost the same stats as the 7998 (phantom face with no internal amp), and its got a detachable face plate!!! woohooo! now i can remove the **** b4 i leave so i don't get jacked again (stupid 7998 and its retractable faceplate...thieves know what it is, doesn't matter if its hidden, they'll rip the whole thing right out!)
anyone can get the 9835 cheap? hook it up!! ^_^

Im very familar with alpines warranty, at the moment
! I purchased an IVA-d900 last year from an online store, got a VERY good price. Out of the box it had disc read error's so i used my cd-changer for a few months until i decided to send it in for repair. And then found that i had to get a RA number from whom sold it to me, then once they got the deck from me. They then had to get an RA# from alpine, so ive been with out tunes now for almost 6 +weeks and they told me time fram is between 3 to 8 weeks
on the bright side its given me some time to do some more work on my sub enclosure........ its soooooooo close to finsihed now
ill post some pics soon of it
