Thinking of replacing my two JL 12w3v2 d2's in a ported box with two Power HX2 12's d2's (these to be exact )
I'll be putting them in the same ported box my JL's are in now and pushing them with a fosgate 1500bd amp (1500w RMS @ 2 ohms)
Think it'll be a nice combo? I want it to be a good bit louder.

Rep Power: 0 Well, I talked to an audio shop in town, who carries only JL's, not fosgates.... but anyway they said it should be fine. I figure I'll try 'em out in there first, and then maybe change boxes later if need be.
So I can always change the box out later, but will the amp suffice? I mean, these subs are rated at 1000w rms so I just wanted to be sure my amp would be fine and, assuming I have them in the proper enclosure, be worth the change in terms of SPL.

Rep Power: 0 gonna sell 'em, of course
edit: I actually have 3 of the 12w3v2's. I had one that went out like two months ago and so I bought another one and sent the broken one off, which was replaced by a brand new one. So I have one brand new one, one that's about 2 months old, and one that's about 4 months old.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah, I know, but I assume it will still be plenty to make them slam
I can always change amps later, but I'm tired of buying and selling everything I have all the time. If I get some subs that match my amp perfectly, I may still want more later and have to change everything out again. At least this way, I should be set in the subwoofer department for a while.
