Typical Two 12" Sub Box Plans

Here is the sub box that I am going to build for 2 JL Audio 12” W3v2 subs. I am making it out of ¾” MDF, gluing box together, drilling holes, countersinking holes, screwing the box, and then caulk the seams and carpet.

Here are the plans I made, pretty standard. It is 36”x11”x16” (LxWxH) which is about the tallest and longest box that can fit in our trunk.

If you have any comments or suggestions just shoot

How tight is the fit with a length of 38"? Is it a struggle to get in and out of the trunk? And in your pictures I see you cut a hole for the trunk hindge. If I made the box 38" would I need this?
