Sound Check CD .iso or .wavs
Hey folks...I purchased an SPL meter and want to calibrate my home and car system. Does anyone have a copy of sound check 2 or something equivalent that they can make an .iso of and send me? I would reeaaaaaaaaally appreciate it. I'll even give you half of my points. It needs to be either an .iso or the .wav files. Not mp3s or converted from mp3s. Thanks guys. I can be e-mailed at kristoferh313@comcast.net or AIM (which we could use to send the file) screen name CuttinUpOnUisFUN.
Thanks

there are all the tracks, just right click each and save.
if you cant, then most likely i maxed out my bandwidth, try again the next day.
i'll host it for a while, and you can sticky it if you want ludlam.

I purchased the sound and vision tune up DVD from Best Buys site. Should be here in a week. If anyone wants an .iso of it let me know. Obviously you would need a DVD burner and a DVD player in your car or home theater setup. Slick I don't know how much space you have on your FTP but I'm assuming the DVD will be like 2Gigs if you want to host it. If not I can use AIM to transfer it to people.

i can host 1gig, and i'm allowed 5gb's a day in transfers.
maybe we can split that dvd up, since its a sound and vision dvd, i can host the sound part, and if people really want it, you can send them the vision, lol, i just read that it sounds funny, sorry.
do you know exactly whats on the dvd?

It should be a bunch of test tones and the such for the sound portion. The video is a bunch of patterns and the such for fine tuning your brightness and contrast setting. Things of that nature. I'll know for sure when I get it. I'll see about ripping just the audio off the DVD for people. I'll encode in .wav. I'm not a fan of .mp3 for calibrating due to the compression and it cutting off certain frequencies. Granted they are supposed to be above or below the human hearing range...but the encoding still changes even the frequncis in the hearing range.

if you want a sound cd to buy for testing, get the iasca autosound cd's
theyre the industry standard in car audio testing cd's. they even give you instructions and tests and then real songs.
the one i gave slick is the 1999 one, they have a new one each year

It's called "Sound and Vision Home Theater Tuneup" They have two versions. One is $15.00 and has the audio and and basic video caliration tests. The other one is $40.00 and comes with the blue screen to calibrate the TV a little better. The sound section is identical. I went with the $15.00 one since I'm more concerened with my sound system. I already have my TV tweaked the way I like it. I just got the e-mail from Best Buy and it was shipped today. I'm hoping it get's here early next week.
