deck install

Hey, I have a 2004 LX coupe and I wanna get my deck installed...

Just wondering if there was anything I had to do (ie, add any modulators or whatever), or if it is just going to be a simple swap (other than the dash kit of course).

If anybody can give me a heads up on anything, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks, Hurtz.

It is actually simple installation.
Go buy aftermarket headunit wireharness from Bestbuy or any audio store.
Matching up colors is what you really have to do.
Go to DIY section and look for headunit removal DIY.

Ahh thanks, thats what I thought, but I got a little scared when I saw a blurb in PAS mag that said there were these Hondas where the power door locks stop working once the factory head is removed... any depth on this?

That only happens when a fuse is blown, no big deal. To prevent any blown fuses during installations you can always disconnect the negative terminal from your primary battery.

Instead of color matching the wiring harness I recommend that you go to circuit city online and get the wiring harness there. They sell the metra wiring harness that just plugs into one another, so there's not much room for error. I got mine for 22.98 and that's for both (Radio harness and Vehicle harness). The model number is MET/801721 for the vehicle harness and the other radio harness will depend on the brand of your new receiver. If you buy at the store it will be more, so just order online and use the express pick up.
