Building a soundroom
For those who has a car stereo store. I need help/ideas on building a sound room. My main question is how to set up the board so you can switch back and forth between different head units and different speakers and amps. How would set to wiring so you can get power to the specific HU, amp and speaker you want. Any help would be great, thanks.

it would all be a combination of relays and switches. whoever your installer is (if they were any good) should be able to figure it out. if not, then i doubt your installer's ability (no offense)

basically if you were doing it from scratch, youd need a really big 12v power supply. then youd need a big *** relay bank, some momentary switches, nd some other stuff. i think you can actually buy them premade
its a setup you can get, i wouldnt do it with relays and stuff, its not worth it when you can get premade kits that do everything you just add the switches, or some even come with a switchboard

I've seen stores with the switchboard setup. I figured it would be easy to get the switchboard set up then to build one myself. Anyone know where I can find a switchboard and how much they go for?
not own, no, just an employee. its already built. ive seen two setups, one that uses arcade buttons to choose the stuff, but ive never gotten a close look at that one.
the one our shop uses is a switchboard, its a panel with about 50 switches on it, to choose radio 1-15, subwoofer 1-12, speakerset 1-20, amplifiers 1-8, etc. each switch is numbered, so only we know how its setup. its a pain because its for our use only, but of course customers come in and finger**** the board and screw up our ability to demo anything.
so id suggest the big red buttons next to the product, its easier for you, its easier for the customers not to screw everything up.
