6x9 touches trunk "torsionbar"
I am sure this issue has been addressed before but . . .
I had 6x9s installed today. I orginally had kappas but they were to big. So iIgot the reference series infinity.
The magnet on the bottom of the speaker touches the "torsion bar" in the trunk. It makes a metal dent in sound when i close the trunk. I have to push the trunk a lot hard than before for it to close.
Has anyone had this problem?
How did you fix it?
Thanks for your help.

We removed the torsion bar. It wasn't fun. its amazing how heavy the trunk is and how much torque is in those bars.
I nearly broke my thumb on removal. We wrer holding it tight and dremeling it out and SNAP. like hitting a 200 mph baseball with an aluminum bad in -30 degree weather without gloves. twice.
Hurt like hell. Be very careful removing the tension bar!!!!!
