Hi everyone,
Is it normal for a car sound system to have a pop noise whenever i use a function like turn off sub, change bass from low to mid to high, change radio stations? I have a pioneer deh-5550 and its making this pop noise. The noise is coming from the tweeter only and not the front speakers. I checked the amp reverse the channel front with back, its still making this noise from the tweeter. thanks in advance for your help.

Most newer amps have something that softens the pop or makes it not noticable. Need to know more about your setup, and what's being amped.

pioneer deh-5550 - RCA direct to amp
cadence Q4000
jl audio vr600-csi for front and tweeter - crossovered and goes direct to amp
jl audio tr600-cxi for back speakers - attached to the existing factory cable (parallelled)
jl audio 12W0 - straight to amp
I tried to explain as much as I can. I'm still a newbie.

If you know about wiring, try and switch the tweeters to the other amp just to test if the amp is causing the problem.
So are those components up front, or two way speakers and separate tweeters? I'm guessing they are wired correctly for ohm loads. Other than that, I don't know. Mine makes a noise when turning sub on and off, but not through the speakers.
