Just got my Eclipse DVD/TV and i've been putting it in. I was just wondering, instead of hooking it up to the parking break, how do I bypass this so I can have it without the parking break engaged?

I have an Alpine CVA-1003 in my car and I had to put 2 switches on it to bypass the hand break and Foot Break. I put a toggle switch for the hand break and a momentary button for the foot break. On the Alpine’s you have to hold down the foot break and pull the hand break up twice then let go of the foot break to make the screen work for DVD or TV that’s why I threw in some switches I put them next to my sig lighter. I don’t know how the Eclipses’ work but its probably close to the same just wire a switch to the wire that is suppose to go to the hand break. A good thing about the switch is that if you get pulled over or a cop sees you, you can throw the switch and the picture will turn off.

none of that stuff is necesary with the eclipse, alpine is the only one who makes it all tricky like that. All you have to do is ground the wire going to the ebrake.

That's odd, cause it wouldn't work the first time i tried it . Worked after grounding it tho.

jsut ground it to the black wire..i did that with my pioneer..hahha
