I have been doing so much freaken research about this and i am down to three options, just looking for alittle help and suggestions

i have decided to go with one of the following three alarm/remote start options

Clifford AvantGuard 5
Clifford Matrix RSX 3.5
CompuSTAR 2wss-as

which would u recommend, i am looking for best total package, and possibly easiest for me to install, i am very good with wiring and electronics

i know that i could get a crappy alarm and wire it great and it could work just as good, but i want a good one

also one last question in this little excerpt is there any must have or recommended accessories to go with any of the particular alarms

Well, it's really up to you. Clifford is good, but I have viper. You want to look into a backup battery and maybe even an extra siren hidden somewhere. Motion sensors are stupid and give tons of false alarms.

Well, most of the install is positioning and wire tapping. If you're good with electronics, it should be easy. But it took circuit city installers over 5 hours to do it. Just lots of wiring I guess.

It's not difficult. It's just time consuming. The reason it takes professional installers so long is because they're trying to do a quality install.
And getting a crappy install on an alarm would be totally useless against thieves. It's all about hiding wire, making it look as factory like as possible so potential thieves can't just cut the wires and oh look, no more car alarm. Good soldered and heat shrinked connections are also essential to a good install. If you had a connection that was just taped, it will be guaranteed to fall apart sooner or later. If one of those wires went to either your starter relay or your fuel pump relay.. either your car won't start or it won't run for long. So they just make sure to do a quality install so you don't have any problems whatsoever.
Anyways, as for the wiring.. as long as you know your basic electronics (ESPECIALLY relays.. how they work, what they do, etc etc), its fairly simple. If it's your first alarm, expect it to take all day..

i'd go for the clifford avantgaurd 5, incredible features and addons available for this unit, just checkout there website.
self powered siren is a nice feature, tilt sensor (alarm goes off if someone attempts to tow it), smart windows is cool, adds auto up down to windows, and the intellistart, monitors temps, and if it gets too hot or too cold outside, your car starts to warm the engine up, pretty cool. plus the new g5 alarms can be connected to a laptop so you can change settings for the alarm via software in windows, makes it easier for the user to mess with the alarm.
if my local shop picks up clifford alarms, i'm getting one.

id prefer the compustar, it has a true long range...thats for sure. a 2way system w/o a long range is pretty obsolete.
