Im not sure of the possiblity of dual batterys in our 7th gens but if you wire them on the same system like shown in the DIY above make sure both batterys are the same and new. Using 2 different types of batterys can cause one batter to do all the work. On a past system of mine i did dual batterys with the one for the system mounted in the trunk and used an isolator to split the power from the alternator between the cars power and the systems power. This eliminated all power draw on the cars main electrical system when i was really pounding it hard.

^^ what he said. btw, if you have a coupe i have a carpeted fiberglass mount that fits in the trunk on the drivers side behind the tire well. it includes a monster cable distribution block, and (i think) the isolator. if youre interrested, lemme know, i have an Si now and have no use for it
