Rep Power: 0 13w7 placement options
I know some ppl have a JL 13w7 in their car here... How does it fit? Does it only fit facing upwards or what? I just wanna know the orientation options for it and what sounds the best in our cars.
also: It is safe to assume that one 13w7 will massively outperform 2 12w3v2's, correct?

Rep Power: 0 I mean, I am getting pretty ruthless output f/ the 12w3v2's, but I have soooo much more room to play w/ now that I have a 1500bd (damn you Alex, lol, now I want louder again!)
I have the gain approximately 10% up right now, maybe less

Rep Power: 0 Cool, so it fits straight upright. That's what I mainly wanted to know.
btw, how does it sound, slick?
Thanks, man.
EDIT: also, ported would be ideal for me, but I don't know if that's possible to fit in our trunks

Rep Power: 313 nope, thats a buddy form florida. he doesnt have the car anymore. I never got to hear it.
but it would work well in our cars, upfiring isnt too bad. just think of how that would look wiht a 13w7. like this huge tower in teh center of rou trunk floor just popping out

Rep Power: 0 hehe, yes indeed. I mainly want to get something that I will finally be completely satisfied w/ the output so that I'll quit buying more, different, newer stuff all the time.

Rep Power: 289 i got mine in a sealed box, i got a picture if u want me to post of it in my trunk in the box but im at work now. it sounds pretty good. i need to fat mat my trunk but i dunno if imma do that or not. its plenty loud for the ladies in the car, but to me its not loud enough. i think 2 would sound better tho. 1 sounds pretty decent tho. mines just facing straight towards the back of the car. nothing special really.

Rep Power: 313 still, its gotta be install, ive seen a 13w7 with 2000 rms hit 149 on a meter 7 db down in a huge explorer.
so yours should be capable of similar outputs, if the installs were more similar

Do you still have it installed? Was it the box that JL made?
