Rep Power: 0 I have a nakamichi CD-400 and I absolutely love it. I got it for $299 from www.infinitecaraudio.com. I think it is a great headunit, but it is very plain and is not really feature rich. Its got everything you really need though. It also has the ability to disable the internal amplifier for better sound quality if an amplifier isn't an issue for you.

Rep Power: 305 The internal amp is what allows you to connect speakers directly to the HU without an amp. HU's with no internal amp only have RCA outputs, and require an amp.

Rep Power: 0 I recommend the Nakamichi CD-400. Awesome SQ. The clarity is brilliant. And very very low distortion. Almost none, at least with my stock speakers. I have yet to replace the interior speakers. But just to give you an idea, this headunit's volume control goes up to 60, from 0. I am able to turn it up to 58 with no distortion at all. This is with the treble on full and the bass turned down to -2 on a +/- 6 scale. I believe the only thing holding me back is the stock speakers. The sound reproduction is excellent on this unit though. Provides deep, rich, accurate bass notes. Heres a pic.

Rep Power: 0 I have the CD-400 as well. I use it with external amplifiers though so the internal amp is disabled. It has amazing sound quality, I will give it that. But I do wish I had a headunit with time correction right now. But the headunit itself has no flaws at all. It is amazing, Just lacks a feature that I personally would want.
