Angry Polk Audio Momo sub.

I bought these Polk Audio Momo subs for $100 at Fry's electronics. Thinkin that it would bump much harder than my 10" KENWOODS. I was so excited till I hooked it up.......sounded like crap. Its even worst than my kenwood sub. So I returned it for a full refund. Does anyone have any of these Momo subs on there car?

I know momo is good. Did you make sure that the subs were 2ohm or 4ohm and make sure you had a right amp to push it.

the new momo subs arent that picky interms of amps and power
and ohm rating only matters when hooking them up did you have them outta phase ? positive and negative reversed on one sub, only reason i say that is people come in at least 5 a day wtih the same issue and the try that and bang its fixed...

I have had those subs once and they hit great when configured correctly.

1. make sure they are wired for 2ohm or 4 ohm and connected to the amp correctly
2. Ensure the box you are putting them in is close or about the right air space needed

check this and you should be happy

Give them enough time! All speakers need to be broken in. They all sound better after about 10+ hours on them.

I had the Momo MM12 and I returned it as well. Those Fosgates will hit MUCH harder, but the Momo is still a very clean sounding sub. For sound-q, momo; for thump go with fosgate.

I'm running 2 12" JVC Warren-G Signature series subs. They are the the lowest/deepest subs I've heard in a long time.

i am running one of those, with a sony amp. the amp says 800, but probebly pushes 350. the sub sound good, i love it. but u have to set it up well. gotta make sure u r outputing the right frequency, because they sound really noisy and bumpish if the setting isnt good.

Memphis

They had a Memphis set-up at a recent car show here in LA and they were giving away a ton of free stuff. I got one of their T-shirts which was really cool, but it faded after i washed it once.

I wish I could get a Memphis Belle for my wife...it would be the perfect amp for her system.
