Perfect Components JL AUDIO
From what I've searched, Infinity Perfect Components (6.5) will not fit in our cars w/o major modifications right?!!
I was wondering if anyone has tried the JL Audio XR's... i heard them in a store, and they sound awesome? Will these fit?

I went w/ Diamond M6's in my vic. They were the best I'd heard in my car.
I just bought the JL XR series for my truck. Oh man those things are so great.
The thing is it isn't really a fair comparison. I put baffles, fatmat, etc in the truck. Didn't do **** in the Vic. I also think the fact that the tweeters are close to the woofer makes a huge difference.

I have the JL Audio XR 6.5" components.. they're GREAT. Some minor modifications to the door but nothing too major. After you remove the factory 6.5, you'll need to dremel out the hole to fit the XRs. I think the entire system with the tweeters and crossovers took me maybe 2 hours to install.. Good luck
I installed my JL Audio XR component set a year ago and I think they are by far the best speakers I have ever heard. For the tweeters, if you intend to install them in place of the stock tweeters, you will have to cut up the sail a little in order to get them to fit. As for the mids, you will have to have a spacer in order to have clearance from the window. I have mine amped up getting the max power that they can handle, and even at the loudest they sound very clear.
You will definately need a spacer in the doors otherwise you can't roll down the windows without them hitting the magnets.
I fabbed mine from wood.
JL XR650cs up front and XR650cs out back running of the 300/4 JL amp.
Clean and loud. Best speakers I've heard in a long time.
12" W6's in the trunk with 500/1 JL amp.

TheeLoneWolf. I have nearly the same setup same exact speakers just with 2 10" W3's instead of 12". I have the same exact amps. I am running a Alpine CDA-9813 Headunit and I have a Phoenix Gold Bass Cube. I have an AlumaPro 5 Farad CAP. I installed it this weekend. It hasn't worked once. The headunit turns on, and the amps flash on but then turn back off. WTF is the problem? I can't figure it out. Is there a trick with the Alpine Headunits?
