ok .when i added a radio half the lights in my car went out.then when i added a amp the lights cam back.after that 2 weeks later i went back in to clean up my wire job and lost the lights again, ok the new prob i hads a radar det hard lined to my lighter from the back.i unhooked it.now my radio dosnt shut off when i shut off the unless i turn off power by hand. anyone that can anyone help. please this car is cursed. and my vtech kicks in a 1800 rpm .this cars a freak. 2003 si's r built with black magic ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

of you mean turn the power off by hand, i assume you mean you disconnect the power wire from the battery terminal. this resets the computer and if you kept doing it it would never be driven enough to figure out wtf to do as far as vtec (<=== note the spelling) or anything is concerned.

we might be able to give you tips to help you solve some things. but from your histroy, it could very well just get worse. take out the radio and amp, have it installed by a pro, and quit disconnecting the battery cable so much, drive it normal for a while and do a little praying...

the thing with my radio happend to me too when i got back from iraq. my girl thought she was doing me a favor by getting me a new hu. some jackass installed it and then when i took it all apart i found that my ignition wire had no voltage. i had to run a new wire from lighter. get a multimeter and check where you have current. as for the other stuff...good luck
