Alright, searched to no avail. Crazed the neighbors by trying to figure it out on my own. Asked all the homeboys I knew from this site, and nothing.
Real simple question: how do I program my keyless entry system so that whenever I press the "lock" button, the car will lock my doors without sounding the horn and whenever I press the "unlock" button, the car will unlock my doors without sounding the horn?
Any help is appreciated, no flames please.
This thread didn't answer my question.
This site had some instructions for the keyless entry, but it's moreso ish like "to activate ur alarm, u press the button" and it's **** that doesn't help for this problem.
and well, yea.. I'm really frustrated and hoping someone will please provide some helpful information. Don't tell me to go to my dealership, also. My dealership is roughly two hours away and that's if there is no traffic. Thanks for any helpful info ahead of time.

The OEM keyless entry only honks the horn when you press the lock button twice, and the unlock button shouldent honk the horn at all....are you speaking of the OEM alarm? Instead of GOING to your dealership, you could always pick up the phone and call them, they can probably fax you a manual, or mail one if you dont have a fax.

Actually there are several ways to program the keyless entry. One way is that which you mentioned (the way I used to have mine and now want it to be), another is to have it the way I have it now (1 honk on lock, 2 honks on unlock)- A third way to have it is to press and hold the little red button near your hood release latch, this activates the auto arm mode (and will honk twice to confirm) which makes the red led blink for 20 seconds period after you close your doors and then lock the doors when timer runs out. To undo auto arm mode, you press and hold that same red button until the horn honks three times- this indicates that the autoarm mode has been unactivated.
Now I've been to the dealership once before on this same issue and I've forgotten how they programmed the entry so that it doesn't sound the horn when you un/lock the doors. I do remember however, that some methods to programming them involves pressing the lock/unlock button on your door panel, twice upwards and then punching down on the bottom of the steering wheel- a honk on the second pull of the switch and on the punch of the steering wheel tells you that you've done it properly. This method sets the 1-honk-lock, 2-honk-unlock mode, I believe. Only thing left to find is how to set it so that it's how you have it.
