My new box and custom grille

This one is similar to my old one and alot cleaner.
I just bought this smaller lighter square box and i thought id add a custom touch to it.
Here is the box before:

And here it is after with two aluminum rods

What do you think?

Im thinking of adding two more smaller rods.

and instead of making them parallel, have them slanted. For instance, instead of this:

||

Have this

/ \

Not THAT slanted, but you get my drift. That would look sweet.

i'd also recomend chopping a bit of the distance out of the guards... the part that determines how far your grill is away from your sub. unless you have a high excursion sub, i'd go a bit shorter. it'll look tight if you chop

well, the truly non-creative way is to go out and buy some speaker grills. Got mine from Radio Shack on sale for $4.50 each. They look pretty dumb, but hey, I'll bet they protect the subs a lot better than any cool-looking setup.

I tried slated like / \ and they were too long but if i turn the box on its side and its taller it looks good. I guess ill have to make two more smaller rods and see what i like.

Ive been messing with the variations with photoshop. It gets too crowded if i use more than 3 bars. So im only going with 3. I think this looks good. check it out
