My new box and custom grille
This one is similar to my old one and alot cleaner.
I just bought this smaller lighter square box and i thought id add a custom touch to it.
Here is the box before:

And here it is after with two aluminum rods

What do you think?

i'd also recomend chopping a bit of the distance out of the guards... the part that determines how far your grill is away from your sub. unless you have a high excursion sub, i'd go a bit shorter. it'll look tight if you chop

well, the truly non-creative way is to go out and buy some speaker grills. Got mine from Radio Shack on sale for $4.50 each. They look pretty dumb, but hey, I'll bet they protect the subs a lot better than any cool-looking setup.

WELL it involves some thick gloves a torch some pliers and a trip to home depot.
OH and alot of percise measuring

Yea i wasn't done. Right now they are at 2" i wanted to chop them to 1" Whats the excursion on a JL 12w3?
Anyway im driling the bottoms and screwing them to the box.

Ive been messing with the variations with photoshop. It gets too crowded if i use more than 3 bars. So im only going with 3. I think this looks good. check it out

haha yea that last one looked pretty bad. But i dont know i think im gonna stick with straight and not angled...I guess i need to cut the pieces and see for myself on the box.
