im trying to build a system, i now have a kenwood kvt 910 dvd player, i just got a center speaker and 5.1 digital processor.

i am looking for a kenwood amp for my internal speakers, i found a place where i can get whole sale stuff, i was thinking a 500 watt 4 channel amp, its 149

my friend is lending me his 2 fosgate 10 inch power hx2 subs. im thinking of powering this with a fosgate 1050s amp where i can get it for 389.

do you guys see those prices good? and some decent amp...

Honda Luver.......... Im warning you, those POWER hx2's will be VERY underpowered with a 1050, there is a good chance you can blow them from being underpowered. I dont reccomend power hx2's unless your running atleat 1800 watts RMS.

get some Punch Hx2's, very comparable but half the power handling, 500 watts rms as opposed to 1000 watts rms, would go great with a 1050!

personally, id stray away from the kenwood amp... their amps never were anything special. as for the fosgate subs, the 1050 would be fine...

best thing to is match the rms output of your amp to the rms power handling of your speakers. with japanese compnays (kenwood, sony, ect) they inflate the ratings to say 600 watt or whatever. just read carefully to find out the actual rms power output. they can make up what ever number they want for a "peak" rating.

so what would be good a 500 or 600 watt amp? and what do you guys reccomend for a brand? a kenwood 500 watt amp was going for 149 brand new. should i get that one?

that kenwood could still be good......but its hard to get a 500 watt amp for $149 ya know.....whats the model number on it? as far as cheap amps that do what they say im a fan of lighting audio....if its not going to be seen go with the bolt series....dirt cheap, do the advertised power but they are but ugly. us acoustics and the jbl amps also do a good job

75 x 4 is fine for what your running. go with that one if you like all the features, cosmetics and brand.

kTxCiN: MSRP is $749.99 on the 12W7. There is a manufacturer set markup of 65% to maintain that MSRP at all stores, therefor the cost to the dealer is around $487. This has been verified by my local car audio shop, so just out of curiosity, how are you getting them below dealer cost? The only explanation I can think of is stolen property....not trying to be a **** here, but I would really like to know how you are managing to buy them at half of dealer cost.

first off, there is whole sale, the whole salers get it at about 70-75 below mark up, they don't need that much profit since they sell a crap load of it, and the whole salers sell it to stores at 65 below mark up. they *** rape us with the mark up.... for example, i really needed a 25 foot phone cord, so i went to radio shack, it was 9 bucks. i went to this electronics wholesale place and it was only .50 cents!!!!

First of all, i dont sell stolen ****. Im not a ****ing loser. Second off, you seriously have no idea how much it costs to buy them from jl. Do you how much w6's are? just so u know they are around $60. Also any real dealer isnt going to give you the honest truth about how much he pays. Like i said, the subs are brand new, backed by jl. When the w7's first came out, i got 4 for $1000 for my friend. You can believe it or not.

My main problem is im limited on quantities. I am buying 2 for ME, and i figured id try and help out some members on this site. But id need to become a vendor. Like i said before, i dont do this to make money. I do it because i have access to a good deal, and like to give other ppl a chance to have that deal as well. If you were interested in this deal, when i do get them, and get a vendor setup here (only getting a vendor for a month so i can help ppl out here) i could give u serial numbers which u could call jl or whomever u see fit to find out if they were "stolen".

Im slightly offended you would think that i would sell stolen equiptment. But i can understand, that #1 you dont know me, and #2 you really dont know how i could get a deal like this with your knowledge that "dealers" get them for around "$487"

But all in all, everything is cool. This is all legit, and thats that.
