I know that checker auto sells, a universal carpet that will work. I think the measurements are 3 1/2'x 3 1/2', which is more than enough. It only cost 9.99$ to.
well, with a box that is 14" all round, one yard of carpet *should* cover it, but you should always err on the side of caution, so id reccommend a bit more, i personally would go with 2 yards ot be on the safe side.
to do a 100% seamless box, ALL sides have to end up in the speaker hole, not easy to do! so youll start by spraying the middle of the carpet and putting the back of the box there, hole facing the sky.
its best if the glue is still wet for stretching, because youll be breaking yoru back with this one! so as soon as you lay the box on the carpet (did you make sure the face side is on the right side?) spray each corner real heavy, radiating out. this ensures the corners of the box will be real well adhered.
let me rephrase that. id start with TWO diagonals, each on the same side, followed by the face between them, doesnt have to be as heavy.
now comes the fun part. i kid you not, youll stand on the box and tug as hard as you humanly can on those two corners, one at a time. you need to stretch as best you can so you cna get all the seams out doing the baffle of the box. once that side is good and solid, work on the next corner, side, then the last corner and side. the box should be fully carpeted now minus the baffle (side of the box the speaker goes)
now comes the fun (hard) part. youll do the baffle, making sure that there are NO waves in the carpet. it shouldnt be that bad, considering you have only 14" square to work with, with alarge hole cut in the middle, but still beware. you may have to lift up parts and reglue it once you get mostly around it to make sure you stretch everything out properly.
to trim the excess, now that you have the most ugly wavy mess of carpet stuck in the hol,e youll grab a new unused blade and run it around the circle without sawing it. (no zigzag motion is neccesary)
You wont need to have any running inside the box, just right up to the edge fo the hole is all thats neccesary. indeed, itll be messy if you let excess carpet into the box, tho technically noone will see it
but there you go, for what its worth, good luck!

tell them you want seamless, if thats what you want
if you dont specify, and the guy doesnt feel like breaking his back, he will do a seamed carpet job.
and he will be right, cause you didnt specify.

I'm not sure if anyone is looking for a company who manufactures carpet for the 7thgencivic, but just in case THERE IS SOMEBODY who has it. ACS carpet systems who go through JCWHITNEY have the mold for the EM2, although they're waiting for my confirmation to put the carpet into production. I haven't been able to verfiy for them if it fits yet because I will not be able to do install until my swap is done. If you guys are in desperate need for a carpet ASAP, contact RANDALL at ACS Carpet and ask if he feels comfortable with the mold selling some carpet through JCWHITNEY of course, as they will not sell directly to customer. Once I can confirm to him sometime this July that the mold he sent me is a good fit, they will mass produce. Hopefully this helps everyone looking for different carpet color, etc....
