hey do any of u have problems seeing ur headunit during the day and at night? what are some ways to fix this pictures would be great . i cant see mine anythime

its a common thing... only very very few headunits work properly in the stock location, and if yours doesnt, theres nothin you can do about it

Ludlam is dead wrong. There is definitely something you can do about it!!!

You can hold you hand up in front of your HU and block the sunlight.

nah, thats not carpet, thats the raw fiberglass without it being finished or anything... and teh components are my frankenstein set that i made myself peerless csx mid and peerless rdc2000 tweeter...

yeah i've got the same problem wit myne...i can hardly see the track name during the day, so i stick a piece of paper on top of the HU to hang over the face, and it works....sorta like a visor...

hah, yeah, those are my old comfy etnies... but notice theyre on the floor because you can see the pants on my leg sittin in the passenger seat... i have a thing where i like to be barefoot whenever im working on my car... sucks with fiberglass though because you get all the little hairy fibers all up on your feet... so usually i work in only socks...

I would make something to make a visor around it. Like PaCiFiKbAllA said just tape paper around it. Ghetto but would work. If the paper doesn't work try construction paper cuz it's thicker and won't let light through.

What about tinting ones entire front windsheild.....i know it is highly illegal.....but uhh i dont know much thats on our cars as it is that the cops think is 100% legal!

Tinting your front windshield would be a BIG no-no for YOUR safety...think about how hard it would be to see at night. Also, I can't imagine you would find a shop willing to do that; seeing as they would face huge fines if caught doing it.

yah wellif it is only like a 60-45 it is not very dark....as for a shop...all u got to do is ask around and not get a recipt......or have someone do it outside of thier job place for you.
