subwoofer goes off independently?

its been almost 2 months since i installed my car audio, and starting from recently, my subwoofer sometimes goes off on its own. do u guys know what could be happening? even when i adjust the volume to all the way down, it makes sounds sometimes (sometimes small pulses, but other times, loud long notes). could there be some wires exposed? which wires should i look at, i had my whole car rewired (but only the sub makes the weird noises that isn't supposed to be in the songs)?

Check yer rcas and speaker wire going to the sub...
Sounds like you might have wires touching metal or eachother somewhere along the line. Could be inside yer enclosure so if all else fails, check inside yer box.
