i have decided to just go with a single 12" or 15" sub ina sealed enclosure....

need suggestions on where to buy and how much i should expect to pay...

keep in mind i am a noob and am looking to increase the bass from my stock system except for the Alpine 9815 HU.... yes, i know, components are coming soon but first i need to make room in my trunk... lol

thanks everyone, if you have a single sealed sub in your trunk please let me know what you have and how much power is driving it and what kind of music you listen to....

First, why dont you tell us what your budget is for the sub, box, amp, wire, and install if you are not doing it yourself. Do you plan to buy online or at a shop?

Now, what kind of music do you listen to? Is trunk space a factor in your decision? (ie: certain subs require more airspace)

Do you want just ***** out loud? Just sound quality? Both? And include any other info you feel may help us assist you.

Single sealed 12" Eclipse Aluminum (750rms, 1500max), Kicker 400.1 (400 rms, 800max).

Hip-Hop, Rap, Pop, Rock, Classic Rock, Country, and Jazz occasionally.

Obviously it performed better on the hip-hop than the rock but I wouldn't say it was bad at all. It would go damn low too. I think because of all the different stuff I listen to dual 10" would be sweet.

these are specs for the titaniums, 750 rms and 1500 max. i think the aluminums are 500 rms and 1000 max. i have 2, and they cause hella rattle, and theyre really heavy.

i used to have a jl 12w6 sound quality is good, but its not too loud. no rattle tho without any padding. i think they sell online for around 170ish, and u can get them on ebay for even cheaper.
