Question High pitched ringing

I am getting this really high pitched ringing (almost like a whistle) out of no where from my tweets. I don't think it is alternator whine, but honestly I have no idea what it could be.

Any ideas? or what to llok for?

Thx,
fonto

look for loose wires. i get that noise (i think its the same) after i drive my car hard, take turs too fast, and move stuff around. is it maybe from your rca's touching the chassis?

Good point...I just moved the wires around the other day and I think they may be touching metal.

when you talk about the rca's touching the metal of the car...do you mean the rca's connectors(ends) or the wire itself? I am still having the same problem after re-locating the rca's and after adding ground loop isolators to the wires(that helped) but the wine is still there.
Thanks!

i mean the ends. mine at least are metal and you want to keep where it connects from head unit to the RCA cable to the trunk away from metal. try starting the vehicle (so as to introduce engine noise and alternator whine), removing the center console, and then moving the wires around till the noise clears up. then try to put it back with the car still running and keep those wires away from metal. solves 90% of the problems.

whine can however come from other sources in the vehicle, try keeping wires away from the big no-no's (fuse box, fuel pump in the trunk) and see if that helps.
