wiring 4 channel amp
i have a fosgate 801x, which is 4-channel and
100w x 4 @ 4 ohms RMS, and
400w x 2 @ 2 ohms RMS
if i'm wiring this to four 4-ohm single voice coil 12's, is there any way I can wire them so that the amp is bridged, thus giving 200w x 4 RMS (double the power)
...basically, I need to know if it's possible to have the amp bridged @ 2 ohms w/ all 4 speakers

the amp is 100w x 4 at 4 ohms and 400 w x 2 at 4 ohms, not 2
basically theres no way for you to do what you want. youre stuck at either 4 channels, each at 100 watts, or 2 channels, bridged at 8 ohms, giving you 200 each..
regardless, with your wiring youre stuck at 400 watts

arggh, i was afraid of that. I'll probably just keep my old amp too (was gonna sell it for some extra $$). That way, I'll have a:
500x bridged to 250x2 RMS on the ts-w304c's (300W RMS each)
and a
801x bridged to 400x2 RMS on the ts-w305c's (400W RMS each)
...should be a nice improvement

not really...
to begin with, having 2 diff kinds of sub never sounds all too good. you get cancellations and phase issues (some bass notes come out louder than others)
on top of that, running 2 diff amps to 2 diff kinds of subs is just another way to as for more cancellation and phase issues.
my reccomendation:
the 801x you could probably sell on ebay for 200-250ish
the 500x you could probably sell on ebay for 150 to 200ish
thats 350 to 450 dollars youd be making
then go to ebay buy a hifnonics brutus 1500 (sell for 301 shipped brand new on ebay)
youll have almost 400 watts per sub from one amp.
that will kill one of your 2 possible sources of cancellation, phasing, and sh*tty sound
