Viper alarm question
I just got a Viper Alarm installed @ circuit city the other day and I was messing around w/ the functions earlier today. I noticed when I arm it and then open the trunk w/ my key, the alarm does not go off. I would think that if the trunk was opened, the alarm would automatically go off, or Iam I wrong? Did they install it correctly?
Also, can I change the sensitivity on it? I hit the car in many places and the warning chirp doesn't even go off. If someone was to really break into my car, I think my window would be already broken by the time the alarm would go off.
Any feedback would be helpful.
Thanks.

which system did you get? i have the esp 600, i can adjust the sensitivity on it... as far as the trunk goes, it has to be wired to the latch in order for it to go off... if they didn't wire it to the latch, then it wont go off... i will go see if i can find my book to help you adjust the sensitivity... also, did they show you where they mounted the manual override button?

as to the trunk problem, take it back right away. if they couldnt find the trigger for it, then theyre jackasses, and even if they couldnt, they coulda tried a pinswitch.
as to the sensitivity, when you take it back, tell them to tweak it.
to do the sensitivity you have to find the actual shock sensor.
