sony's track record with headunits puts them at the bottom of the line. not saying its a bad unit, but just saying sony is the most common for failures, skipping, breaking, eating a cd, etc.
I personally had a different Sony unit, it wasn't an MP3 playing one, but after a few months, it started skipping so badly i had to get a new one. I wouldn't reccommend sony HUs to anyone.

Okay, let me break this string of negative reviews.
I have the CDX-M800 and it's just fine.
I've been thru 3 SONY Xplods HU's and haven't had any problems with them. BTW, my first one was stolen, second one is in my camry, and third is in my civic.
The only negative thing I would say is that the cdplayer mount on our civics are in an angle, so using the inside controls on the cdx-m800/850 (when faceplate is open) will be pretty hard, because they'll be facing up. But that is what the remote is for.
