Best 10"s Under $150?
What Up all,
Yeah, it's time for me to upgrade once again, this time my subs are next. I was wondering if ne one has 2 10"s in their car? Right now I am running 2 10" MTX's on the new Sony Xplod 1000w amp. Don't get me wrong, they do hit for what they are worth, but I just feel like I could be getting deeper, more powerful bass and a better response if I went with a different set. I dont want to go over $150 for 2 so could n e one tell me which brand to go with for a lil low end boom?
Oh here' my sys set up
Deck- Sony CDX M
http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...y=L#morephotos
Sony 6x9 in the back- Running mids and highs no lows so they sound aiight
Stock 61/2's in the front running highs
Sony Xplod 1000 w amp

1000 watts at 1 ohm. Very overrated amp.
SeCosCiv; I just got these new subs by Treo Engineering my shop, they are the TS series
Treo web site the 10" handles 150 watts rms. I have to honestly admit that for the power class they subs are in, they are the best under 150$ sub i have EVER heard. I did an install with 4 ts series 12's running off a Alpine 500m........it was simply AMAZING!!!
Im still waiting for my SSX series subto come. The sales guy from Treo said they subs will out do the JL w7. Heres some other info i got on them.
1800 watts rms for the 12
4 " excursion
534 oz. Magnet
4 inch aluminum VC
retail: 449.00 10" 469.0012" 499.00 15" 589.00 18"
Kicker comp VRs, some of the best subs on the market for the money (note the for the money part). Put them in about any size box with about any amount of power and they'll slam for you. Especially if you get them into a vented box.

Dam i didnt read that the whole post. You want 2 subs for 150$???
Good luck!!! your only choice will be 2 sony exlodes buy 1 get 1 free, possibly a RF Z series 2 for 150, or a kenwood tornado, buy 1 get one free(lol)
Also dont forget about the alpine type E's!!! lol
Average sub now days runs about 175-200, With car audio you have to do it right or youll never be happy, once you do get 2 subs your gonna wanna upgrade to a more powerful sub.

Aye all guess what?
You can kinna scratch that whole subs thing because my car got broken into this morning...
They broke out the driverside quarter panel and took out my deck...The Sony
Maybe everything happens for a reason, I guess now I'm foeced to get something other than Sony.
The bad thing about it is that I parked right in front of my apt. and its a sort of lit area.

Maybe its time to get an alarm instead?
Sorry to hear that.
that, and a detachable face head unit. i got an alarm before trying to get everything else, b/c i'm sure some ppl will try to steal it
but hey, u learn from ur mistakes. it took two break ins into my father's truck to convince my him to buy a car alarm, and even then he was really reluctant. i think he should've got it the first time. just buy a car alarm befoer doing anything else

i didnt read through the thread thoroughly, but if you want a cheap pair of subs, what about the concept cse 12's? they sell them as a pair, 2 come in the same box, and i know my local shops sells them for $100 a pair. i know they can handle atleast 150watts each.
