HELP on component speakers PLEASE!!
I am looking at Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 component speakers for the front. I have no idea if they will fit. Crutchfield says they won't, but Infinity's website says yes. Anyone know for sure by any chance? Anyone know where I can find out how deep the speaker well is and other specs like that? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Crutchfield will generally tell you if a speaker will fit if it is easy to do without many if any modifications.....of course the company making the speaker will tell you it will fit in just about anything.....even if it really means it will fit in anything if you drill a big enough hole!.
I had to grind the metal away on the doors of my coupe to fit in 6.5 mb quart q's.....
look around and listen so speakers in the 6.5 range, when you find a pair you really want with the help of a good installer you will be able to have them put in if grinding away the metal to make the hole bigger isn't a problem for you.
I personally didn't have the equipment necessary to grind metal away so i went and had a shop do mine. Took me 3 shops to find one that would do it though, which dissapointed me very much. Since i had mine put in the shop that did it is the ONLY place i'll go from now on. Boomer McClouds said it couldn't be done, it makes me wonder why they're in the car audio business in the first place if they haven't harnessed the technology of cutting metal!!
