Replacing front speakers - windows up or down?

Subject says it all, I'm about to crack open my panels and put my next kicker speakers in there, just wanted to know if its better to have the window up or down while doing it. Thanks.

Its easiest to take the door panel off the window down....then to put the speaker in (if you are fishing a new wire into your door) you need to put the window up....if you are using the OEM wire, then it doesnt matter where the window is.....

Yes, I did my front speakers with the windows down, and I was able to make sure that my Pioneers would fit before I installed them.

make sure after you put the speakers in, to roll the windows up and down a few times to check for clearance just in case...dont want to put everything back together and find out that something is hitting the window
