2001 integra motor in a 2001 civic??
can this be done.....wasnt the last year of the integra 2001 and if so
wouldnt the engine be a comparable motor for 2001.....i know its not ulev
but i heard that you just cant put an older engine in a car so.....2001=2001
anyone know about the emissions laws.....i think the integra 2001 motor is pretty
smog efficient as it is.....(im crossing my fingers)

umm didnt the rsx come out in 2k1???? therefore if it did and its a k20 series engine yes you can swap. several swaps have been made on this site. Hawk is in the process of doing one right now.

The integra is still alive. But in the USA it's called the RSX. It's still the Honda Integra in Japan.
But yea the B18 integra engine can be placed in a 2001 civic legally.
If your car is a 2002 civic then the swap would be illegal.
INJEN: The RSX was released in 2002.

is it 50 state legal....i have a 2001 and would like to place a b series in a whole
lot more than a k20 considering the aftermarket parts for each and the price...
I know that the k24 would be a great powerplant but still, i would rather a b series
so, if it is legal (I know the integra was still out in 2k1) to use the engine...i just got
a whole lot more flexible....im keeping my fingers crossed....now i just need to find mounts
to fit the motor in.....FlyRiceRacer02--do you know that for sure or are you just basing it on the years? if this is true....im

legally the swap of the B18 can be done in a 2001 Civic, its its a 02+ you cannot legally place an older engine in a new car chaisis. There are no mounts for the Bseries engine to bolt in the EM chasis but it can be custom done. I believe HASport is in development of Bseries mounts.

You can't drop a B series into a 7th gen civic. The frame will not accomidate it. Plus the engine wouldn't sit correct for proper function. Hasport is only making mounts for the K20 series for 7th gen civics because of the obvious already stated and the Bseries engines are become more scarce to find. Not as much money to be made.

i think i can get custom mounts for a b18 or b20.......as long as it would fit.....i dont the difference in weight between the b series and the d series would be to much for the frame/chassis

Oh yea and if the Motor doesnt match the VIN of your car they will give you a hell of a lot of **** and accuse you of stealing cars and stuff of that sort. Luckily im white but i feel sorrow for my not so white companions with all the ******* cops here.
