chrome hood strip
i own an 02 civic EX coupe, and i just bought a Type RS grill for it, the grill has a chrome lip W/black mesh. I noticed some civics have a thin chrome strip on the hood right above the stock grill(i think all sedans have this strip)but, my coupes strip is silver, just like the rest of my car. Does anyone know where i could find the sedan chrome strip. I think it would look good with the chrome lip on the grill.

anyone know how to take it off ?? I want to paint it black by my self, but it's very hard, they have some sort of clip in the middle part, anyone know how to take it off.
Also the one on the back.

i think it would be pretty easy to trade with someone dont you think? i would but my car is epb...
i think it would be pretty easy to trade with someone dont you think? i would but my car is epb... Yeah, I took mine off and painted it a few months ago. There's a few screws under the hood, and then the central clip that holds it in place. Once you get it off, it's a good idea to sand it down and then prime it and paint it, although I just primed the chrome and then painted it with several coats of NBP. Now I have a few places where rocks have chipped it so that there's a few specs of chrome showing through underneath. I guess it just depends on how lazy you are.
It's a pain to paint though, since it's slightly rounded and doesn't stand up straight on it's own. So you have to balance it somehow to get an even coat

now the trunk strip, how do you get that damn thing off, I popped all the clips out and unhooked the lights but I still couldnt get it out, so I gave up, I had been planning on painting it, I'll probably just wait till the trunk strip drops to like 25 bucks instead of 50 which is what it is now. Body colored everything is the way to go, luckily I have a black car, or else those ugly *** unpainted mirrors would show.

The back strip takes some effort. All the clips have to be released for it to come out, and there's two washers I think that hold it in. But yeah, the only chrome on my car is the headlight.
so you slide the middle clip for the front one ??
and I hate the one on the back, I can take off the left and right, but there's like small clip also in the middle. Thx guys
