A'PEXi WS vs GReddy Evo vs Tanabe
I AM CONSIDERING CHANGING THE STYLE OF MY CAR A LITTLE. ONE THING IS THE EXHAUST. I HAVE A TANABE SUPER RACING MEDALION, WHICH IS AWESOME QUALITY, BUT A LITTLE TOO LOUD. CONSIDERING GREDDY EVO OR A'PEXI WORLD SPORT. LEANING MORE TOWARD WORLD SPORT. HAVEN'T DECIDED YET. ANY OPINIONS.

Another member somewhere on here has the worldsport. From what I hear it doesn't get very loud at all, just makes a little noise when you punch it. I thought about gettting it, but I was afraid it wasn't going to be loud enough. I got the Greddy instead. I am well pleased with it, its a very nice deep and low sound. Its just loud enough in my opinion. Check out the for sale section someone was selling a Greddy for really cheap.

even though both the tanabe and greddy evo are legal if you want quieter sound go for the greddy evo, laso the looks of it arent it just isnt a full stainless steel like the tanabe you have
I dont understand why is everybody saying "Tanabe is TOO loud". I have one, and if that's too loud for you...well you didnt hear loud exhaust yet! Tanabe might be loud if run no cat on it, other then that, only time the Tanabe is really loud is when you downshift. To me, it's actually too quiet, but I learned to love it. It has that hight pitched tone when your engine gets between 3,500 - 4000 right before you shift. That sound, I love. My buddy has '97 Prelude SH with Jackson Racing under the hood. He has Apexi N1 cat back with test pipe. You wanna talk about loud exhaust .. Everytime we are cruising around and he downshifts and punches it, everybody on street stops, turns around and looks. And trust me, I mean EVERYBODY. Young, old, handicaped...everybody. .I wish I could take a clip of it and post it. Then you would think twice before you say "Tanabe is 2-loud". As far as I'm concered, w/out a doubt, he has the loudest exhaust on a Import in the whole damn state. The exhaust was pretty O.K...untill Jackson Racing got involved. And then all hell brooke loose. And just for the info...that thing pulls like crazy. As he would say "got torque - up the ***" hahah. Anyway, just wanted to share that with ya.
hahaha, yeah i just drove around with my friend this week who has a 97 prelude with jackson racing super charger and an apexi dunk exhaust, that thing was freaky loud, it was annoying it was so loud. i have the tanabe and wish it was a little louder, but its not bad the way it is
i just installe my tanabe today and notices a rattle when you start to get into the higher rpms but just for about 5 seconds then it's gone, but i like the tanabe even though i've only had it on my car for about 3 hours now.

I have a Apexi WS exhaust. It is not quiet at all. I think it's quite perfect. Low growl to the sound and it looks nice too. I have heard the Greddy Evo, and yes that one is lounder than the WS. But I still prefer the WS so that it's subtle but not too subtle.
I have the WS, compared to the custom job I had before, it sounds almost stock. It's almost too quiet. If you still want some sound, I say go with the EVO. Thats what I'm getting for my WRX. It's one of the quietest exhausts for the WRX, so it shouldn't be too loud on the civic.

I really appreciate the feedback guys! I was originally gonna get the EVO until I discovered the Tanabe. I love the look of the Tanabe, but now soemtimes it's too loud.
Hey anyone here have any pic of their car with the Tanabe Super Medallion?? I just check out a shop yest...it looks...very big
Am wondering how it looks under the car. I dont want to have a look of car with a cannon alike muffler sticking out (unless its a coupe..tilted). Thx..
And djlutchi, any problem with scraping the muffler when going thru speed bumps??
