Rep Power: 0 gsr headswap on ls motor
I was just wondering where I can buy a GSR head, how much they would cost around and how difficult would it be to install on my LS motor?
thanks in advance

Rep Power: 315 i dunno how much it would run ya... but ive heard taht the b16a2 heads will run for about $600 or so, and yes it does work with the ls block
personally i think the b16 head is much better than the gsr head and the b16 head does work with the ls block, u just need all the computers and whatnot

Rep Power: 0 if you are going to do the lsvtec swap go with the b16. check around for pricing. and if you do not know the b series engine inside and out let a shop with a good reputation do the work because ive seen many lsvtec swaps not last long because of poor work.

Rep Power: 0 I don't know any sites off the top of my head you just need to search around. Goto clubsi.com they have a really good hybrid forum. The b16a2 (think thats the code to the 99-00 SI) head flows better than either the GSR or the type R head. I would go for that if I were you. What you really need to think about is quality. Building a motor is not something you should go cheep on spend money where money is needed and for this project money is needed almost everywhere.

Rep Power: 0 i heard a type-r head or gsr head could fit on a b20 block, i'm not sure if that correct though. i dunno what computer to use though. type-r/gsr, or the b20 non vtec ecu? if it did, that would kick ***! are there b20s in crx's? i have a 91 crx si now and i am wondering if that biga$$ motor would fit.

Rep Power: 0 juss make it easier and get either b18c5 (type r integ) or the jdm b16 cuz the jdm b16 has the biggest vtec, either way you are looking towards 3000+ for the actual motor, the vtec solenoid, and the install... at least... but it'll all be worth it.. juss go to a very respected race shop, you'll be sponsored so maybe it'll be alot cheaper then buyin it all yerself.
