Head/Tail light question

I'm new to the civic world, just sold my 01 Mistu Eclipse GT. Any way, I've got the rims, stereo, and exhaust on order and the car isn't even a week old. I've seen alot about the halo projectors, angle eyes, tyc and such. My first question is what to do bout the stock headlights. Can the Orange be removed? Are these projectors high quality? $150 on ebay seems pretty cheap. Do they leak, fog, burnout easy? I'm sure enough people have to have them and could offer up some good info. I don't mind buying them, just HATE wasting money. Also, I have a black coupe. Can you recommend some good taillights. I had bad trouble with my tails I ordered from ebay for my eclipse. So I just went back to stock. I'd do the same here but I hate the stock tails. Let me know what you think. I'd appreciate it.

ps. what does OEM actually stand for?

the projectors are fine from what i hear...go with them
tails...you can always smoke them...goto the search field, and type in my user name in the search for user name section (nobottlejustthrottle), and you will find all the info that you need about smoking your tails...i even have pics up somewhere on here.
OEM...Origional.Equipment.Manuf. (stuff you get from Honda)

some projectors are of good quality, and some are not. the orange reflector can be taken out of the headlight (look in the DIY section). projectors are nice but dont project as much light as OEM (IMO, i have tycs). oh, and i will have my tails smoked by geoff ^^^ in a few weeks.

1. don't know that much about the halos

2. orange plastic pieces CAN be removed just a matter of heating them up, pulling them apart, then resealing them with silicone.

3. everybody knocks altezzas but i like the apc tails, i think they look good

tyc projectors are nice quality and look good, if you can overlook the yellow reflectors. i think they discontinued the projectors in the clear/chrome though for the 01-03's. apc is okay - poor quality to say the least. i've seen a lot of apc headlights turn yellow after a while. tyc claimed their lights have uv protected plastic lenses. hyperformanceauto.com has a sale on them right now - i ordered them and received them in MS in only three days. easy to install too.

THanks guys, I was looking at the headlights and decided I could pull that orange reflector out, but I'll check out the DIY. THanks for the heads up. But those tails, they bug me. I'm lookin at the black chrome ones. I just can't find the style I like that don't look cheap. I know I'll prolly have to reseal them. ANy one know a good site to get em?

the tyc are gauranteed not to leak - but still a pain if you have to ship them back for warranty. www.motorgroove.com sells the tyc for $175. www.hyperformanceauto.com sells them for $166 ( i think they are free shipping too). those two were the best price i found. i've ordered from both...no problems with either.
