No Frams for me.. paper end caps scare me. Read this: Oil Filter Review
Even though my Civic came with a Fram filter made for Honda, my dealer carries Honda filters made by Filtech.

Yeah, stay away from Fram, they used to be great filters, but not anymore. I buy stock Honda filters from www.handa-accessories.com I think they're are less than $5 each, I bought 4 filters and 2 air cleaners and 1 pollen filter. Great deal.

Bosch filter numeber 3323, with that i used castrol gtx. Just changed to mobil1 supersyn. Next oil change i'm planning to go with amsoil oil and filter. Mobil1 filter is good as well but i costs like 12 or 13 bucks by my house and for that price i can have 2 bosch filters. my 2 pennies
fram is paper, and one of the problems is that the paper can break down over time. Having said that, just be sure to change your filter at or before the 3 month interval. I use fram, and they work great.
supertech filters from wal-mart @$1.97.....i'm serious. they're very good filters. synthetic media and very good SAE filtration rates. they're made by champion labs.--the same company that makes mobil 1, bosch, STP, etc.

The only thing bad I heard about the Mobil 1 and Bosch filters is that they have low flow rates since they filter dirt better. The K&N and Amsoil has one of the best flow rates, but doesnt filter dirt as well if I recall correctly. Check out this post regarding oil flow tests. Dunno how accurate his method is but until then I'm sticking with Honda filters. Specifically ones made for Honda by Filtech and not Fram.
If all the filters have the same area, then yes, you'll get more pressure drop with finer filtration.
However you can get around that pressure drop by enlarging the filter area. That's one reason for using pleated media rather than just layers of filter material.
The optimum filtration would be the finest practical filter with the widest filtration area. Cost of manufacture would also enter into this so the best filter might be too costly sell.

).

My only concern is that it looks about 1/2 the size of the OE filter. There was a listing in the catalog for a different filter, but I think it was discontinued. This filter was listed in the computer.
FYI - Wal Mart has a great price on Mobil 1 5-W30. $18 for 5 quarts. $3.60 a quart instead of the normal $5-6. This is my cheapest oil change yet! $22!

Hehe, thanks for the pics!
Looks exactly like the Bosch 3323. I think I'll buy that on the next oil change and compare it side by side with my old Bosch. I think it's exactly the same, but I'm not 100% sure. We'll see...
