Does any one have a dyno tested AEM Cam Gear setup. and if so what degree are you set at (exactly- take a pick if you can). advanced or retarded? I am buying one and am looking into buying a camshaft (stock) and having it grinded or whatever so i can actual get some real gains from it. but in the meantime... whats up?

Diff car has diff setting. You have to put your car in a dyno to find out what is best for you.

I know but i want to get as close to perfect as i can before I get a chance to take my car to a dyno. I think there is only like 1 in the state of MD. So it may be a while.

I have seen 2, 5, and 7 i think i may just trial and error it but i would like a really good starting point.

i think at about retarded 2 will give you the best hp from the power band, of course, i think... you should really take it to a dyno... you never know, you could accually loose some hp on that setting... i have had a cam gear for about 5-6 months and i can't find a good reputable dyno place that does the cam gear and the apexi V-AFC...

I think it is dynoed at about 5 hp. I not too sure though.

I think aem has dynos for all their products on their website

But their dynos are all fluffed, as noone gets the gains they actually say you will.
