Question What's Your Lightbulb Combo???

as some of you may know, i am clearing some lights i have bought off a member.

after doing hours of searching last night and this morning, i have a question. what's the bulb combo you use for you H4 and 194 lights?

i am considering going with the silverstars in the H4 and maybe cool blues in the parking bulbs (194). is it best that i match, or is it creative to mix and match?

btw, i will be going with an orange bulb for my turn signal... trying to keep this street legal in IL.

well, what's the combo in your headlights? do you try to keep them matched, or do you get one a bit bluer or whiter than the other?

ive had kmax h4 and polarg 194 in stock housing...then mtec h4 and polarg 194 in stock housing...now i have mtec h1 and polarg 194 in tyc housing...

id have to say mtec h4 and polarg 194

EDIT: i have a set of kmax h4 that look awesome if you want those-$15.00 shipped...but then again...you could probably get the mtecs cheaper

I got mine from www.autolamps-online.com
But if you want to get HID i recommend www.liteswap.com I had a big hassle with the autolamps place about the shielding of the HID... LiteSwaps HID fit perfectly into the H4 housing...

My beam pattern is very very close to stock. and i have the original housing with H4's

I had PIAA Super Plasma GT H4's which cost around $70 and PIAA Super Plasma HID 194. They have a purple tint to them. The H4's are hyperwhite and purple depending on the angle you're standing. I liked the super plasma gt's but i had them for about 4months and they burned out. Instead of wasting $70 every couple of months I figured I'll go with HID.

So what would be the best thing to go for without going for HID? I don't want to fork over that much money for my lights right now.

If you guys are concerned about light output, I would just stick to well known major manufacturers like Philips, Osram, Hella, etc. I had Philips Vision Plus bulbs and they were pretty decent halogen H4s. Which is more than I can say about cheesy HID-wannabe blue PIAAs et al.

H4 = CEC Xenon Blue from JC Whitney
194 = Hyperwhite LEDs (used to have blue LEDs but kept getting hassled by cops so i changed them)
blinkers = amber 7443s w/ clipped 5w wires so they only blink and stay off when driving.

Hey AR. It's ok to white lights as the turn directional. That doesn't matter in IL. As long as they are white or amber then it is completely leagal.
