Hey guys.
I just got off the phone with John from KMS (Kauffman Motor Sports).
We spoke for a while about the 7th gen em model (dx,lx,ex) and the services for which they provide for our car.
If at any point you feel you need more detail than I have produced, feel free to msg me or aim me at: CGodwin3103 for more depth.
Firstly let me address the popular intake manifold question...
KMS is in essence an R&D company which fabricates pieces.
The KMS intake manifold that is street has a waiting list, if you wish to get one (after talking to John I would suggest waiting for it though) you will have to wait. At this point John said it would be about 2 months before he finishes his present order of IM, and after that would be able to fabricate more. It was addressed that you should be patient in waiting for the IM, KMS is not a mass production company, the intake manifolds are made by hand when ordered and they work on more than just an IM for our car.
The street intake manifold is pretaped for nitrous, but is covered by screws if you wont, or until you get nitrous. It is plug and play, basically bolt-on and the fuel sections will remain in the stock position however you can speak to John about this, or get further detail I haven't covered about the IM.
Now, onto the other products KMS fabricates.
KMS can fabricate High compression pistons for your application, John said that the high-compression pistons can be made from 10:1 up to 13.5:1 compression (this is just nuts... I had to catch my breath)
KMS will port & polish the head... Stage 2 at 800 dollars, comprising of the head being completley redone, cleaned, glass beaded, port & polished, and flow tested, John said that he was able to make our head match the flow of a gsr (somewhere around 260, didn't write down the number, sorry.)
They also perform Block Deck (raising compression), John said that he does not however recommend H-C pistons and a block decking though, as you will be much more likely to have the piston hit, the block can be decked 10-40 thousandths.
As well, a throttle-body can be produced that is 62mm, no it's not oversized to 64 or 65, but it flows better and matches the velocity best for the car.
They can produce block gaurds that work with the OEM head gaskets, being more effective than general block gaurds, and far better than stock block gaurds which are open.
KMS manufactures Valves, Retainers, and Springs, which can be made to stock or oversized by .5mm over stock. And you can get The springs and retainers for 270.
There produce retainers made out of an awesome aerospace 20/25 which can withstand 1000 degrees (we wont see over 240 or 270 as this is when our oil will boil), and can withstand 1000 lbs. of presure. These are very strong and can be purchased for 60 dollars.
John said that in a few months they will have Titanium retainers for our car (skunk2 wont be happy...lol)
Again, it is a small waiting game for the Intake manifold, be patient.
KMS is biulding a race EM so I imagine they will probably in the future work on rods or other internals.
You can go onto ebay to find KMS products, as well you can go to there ebay store.
Otherwise, KMS's website is http://www.hondarace.com
And their phone number (long distance, not a toll number) is 770.652.3538
If you live in Covington, GA you might be able to visit...
When you contact KMS ask for John and tell him that Craig sent you and he will work with you to help you get what your looking for, and answer any questions that you may have.

Rep Power: 0 I talked to John about all that and I think I may save up and get the P&P head work. He said the stage 3 is not good for street driving but he could do a stage 2 with some of the stage 3 work too. He said that would be $1K. Also he said the stage 2 is supposed to give 15% to 30% hp gains. I am seriously gonna consider this.

Rep Power: 0 you don't need NOS or turbo's on your car to utilize this manifold do you? I plan to keep my car NA so I was wondering if there's a point for me to get this thing.
Thanks

Rep Power: 0 It should help out with the other bolt-ons that you have put on your car (intake, header, exhaust) but if you do decide for forced induction, you will benefit even more from the manifold.
