You're right, it is a good price. But if you want to swap it into your car, there's a few things that I don't see in those pictures, so I'd assume they don't come with. Things like the drive shafts, the hubs, and the frame to centre it in the engine bay. I think, don't quote me, but I think that buying that stuff would put you back up to the price that you'd pay for one that was complete with all those parts. Just something to keep in mind.

If I were buying something like that, i'd want to see it in person. If you really interested, it's worth the drive especially if you and the seller and both in CA.
No I would not buy it. That engine would be illegal here & it doesn't appear to come with everything necessary for the swap. The 40,000 miles doesnt sound to appealing to me either...
