How much should i pay to get cat back exhaust made and installed from somewhere like a speed shop or muffler shop? I know someone with a focus who got one for like $150 is that about right?

Yes that sounds right but it will depend on what kind of piping is used and the amount of bends too.

thats about right, i paid for a univseral muffler, and piping and it cost me around that much on my old civic.

i don't know anything about custom cat-backs, but i heard from someone else on this site that he got his for only 60 bucks! piping and install. he had a hook up, i think, but it was also cheap cuz it was crush bent. the muffler is what'll cost you the most

do it yourself. you can get pipeing for about 30 bucks, and learning how to weld is a skill that will pay for itself many times over during your life. why pay someone a hundred bucks to do something that you could learn how to do yourself in a weekend.
